มหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณต้อนรับผู้แทนจาก Kagoshima University (KU) ประเทศญี่ปุ่น เดินหน้าพัฒนาหลักสูตร Double Degree Program 
วันที่ 2-4 มิถุนายน 2568 ตัวแทนจาก Kagoshima University (KU) นำโดย Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shigehisa Okamoto, Faculty of Fisheries, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Makoto Ikenaka, Faculty of Fisheries and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suguru Okunishi, Faculty of Fisheries เดินทางเยือนมหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ ในการนี้ได้รับการต้อนรับจากคณะผู้บริหารนำโดยรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. ณฐพงศ์ จิตรนิรัตน์ อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สมัคร แก้วสุกแสง รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและนวัตกรรม อาจารย์ ดร. ขวัญจิตต์ สุวรรณนพรัตน์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์  ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร. อุไรวรรณ ทองแกมแก้ว คณบดีคณะเทคโนโลยีและการพัฒนาชุมชน พร้อมคณะผู้บริหารและคณาจารย์ของคณะฯ ให้การต้อนรับ
การเดินทางในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเจรจาความร่วมมือในการพัฒนาหลักสูตร Double Degree Program (DDP) ระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา สาขาเกษตรศาสตรสมัยใหม่ ไทย-ญี่ปุ่น โดยมี ซึ่งการเจรจาดังกล่าวหารือเรื่องการเตรียมพร้อมในการรับนิสิตหลักสูตร Double Degree Program ระหว่าง มหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ และ Kagoshima University เข้าเรียนในหลักสูตรดังกล่าวซึ่งจะเปิดการเรียนการสอนในปีการศึกษา 1/2568 นี้
โดยคณะเทคโนโลยีและการพัฒนาชุมชน มหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ เปิดหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาเกษตรศาสตร์สมัยใหม่ ประจำปีการศึกษา 2568 หลักสูตรสองปริญญาโทข้ามสถาบัน (Double Degree Program) ร่วมกับ Master’s Degree in Agronomy or Fisheries Science, Graduate School of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Kagoshima University (KU), Japan เพื่อพัฒนาบุคลากรให้มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านนวัตกรรมการเกษตร รองรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของภาคเกษตรกรรมสู่ยุคดิจิทัลและยั่งยืน ภายใต้บันทึกข้อตกลง ระดับสถาบัน มหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ กับ Kagoshima University 
ผู้สำเร็จการศึกษาหลักสูตรนี้จะได้รับ 2 ปริญญา โดยปริญญาที่หนึ่งจากมหาวิทยาลัยทักษิณ มอบปริญญาโทสาขา “เกษตรศาสตร์สมัยใหม่” (Modern Agriculture) และปริญญาที่สองได้รับจาก Kagoshima University (KU) มอบปริญญาโทสาขา “Agronomy” หรือ “Fishery Science”
หลังการเจรจากิจกรรมความร่วมมือ คณะผู้บริหารและคณาจารย์คณะเทคโนโลยีและการพัฒนาชุมชนได้นำชมห้องแล็ปการเรียนการสอนในคณะและลงพื้นที่ชุมชนโดยรอบมหาวิทยาลัยในจังหวัดพัทลุง

Thaksin University Welcomes Delegation from Kagoshima University, Japan to Advance Double Degree Program
From June 2 to 4, 2025, a delegation from Kagoshima University (KU), Japan, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shigehisa Okamoto, Faculty of Fisheries, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Makoto Ikenaka, Faculty of Fisheries and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suguru Okunishi, Faculty of Fisheries, visited Thaksin University 
They were warmly welcomed by the university’s executive team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nathapong Chitniratna, President of Thaksin University, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samak Kaewsuksaeng, Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Khwanchit Suwannoppharat, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Uraiwan Thongkaemkaew, Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Community Development and other executives and faculty members.
The discussion focused on preparing for the enrollment of students in the Double Degree Program jointly offered by Thaksin University and Kagoshima University, which is set to begin in the first semester of the 2025 academic year.
Thaksin University’s Faculty of Technology and Community Development is launching the Master of Science Program in Modern Agriculture (Double Degree Program) for the 2025 academic year, in collaboration with the Master’s Degree in Agronomy or Fisheries Science at the Graduate School of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Kagoshima University (KU), Japan. The program aims to develop skilled professionals in agricultural innovation to meet the evolving needs of the digital and sustainable agriculture era. This collaboration is conducted under an institutional Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Thaksin University and Kagoshima University.
Graduates of this program will receive two degrees:
•    A Master’s Degree in "Modern Agriculture" from Thaksin University
•    A Master’s Degree in either "Agronomy" or "Fishery Science" from Kagoshima University (KU)
Following the collaboration meeting, the executives and faculty members of the Faculty of Technology and Community Development guided the KU delegation on a tour of the faculty’s teaching laboratories and surrounding communities in Phatthalung Province.
